Tuppas Excels at Artificial Intelligence

Maumee, Ohio (February, 2002)-- Tuppas Software Corporation has emerged as an industry leader in writing artificial intelligence (AI) into their software modules.

AI emerged in the late 1970’s with the primary focus on allowing computers to make decisions without human contribution. Today AI has evolved into a sophisticated technology which is implemented into the manufacturing industry to improve productivity.

Developed with the capability of recognizing patterns, AI can be applied to a wide spectrum of processes within manufacturing. By utilizing its pattern recognition AI programmatically creates opportunities which may be humanly impossible to conjugate.

Tuppas has emerged as a leader in producing genetic algorithms which are utilized within AI. The genetic algorithms arrange production schedules based on pre-defined constraints input into the system by the user. Once the constraints are in place, the rule-based program filters through thousands of possibilities per second, searching for the most optimal schedule possible. The AI will evaluate the top schedules to recognize the final product which is a schedule that best meets each of the criteria.

Companies can benefit greatly by implementing a system that incorporates AI. With scheduling modules produced by Tuppas which include AI, manufactures can conduct predictive analyses of what would happen if specific changes were made to an optimized schedule. Additional predictive analysis can be completed to evaluate the overall impact of added capacity to a plant. This presents personnel with the opportunity of viewing the effect of new equipment, added employees and additional goals that are placed on their processes.

Tuppas AI systems are not intended to take the place of a human scheduler rather, to help manufactures become as efficient as possible. These systems can be easily customized and integrated into existing systems. Tuppas has experienced a great amount of success with their production of AI because each module they create is developed specifically for the requirements of each client.
